Seriously, that's one super-fragile mandible right there. Utterly shattered by a punch that wasn't even that hard. This content is protected If Fundora continues his career he is guaranteed to take many more canvas naps. ***** street is clearly his new home!
I wouldn’t say glass, the guy just has terrible defense and has no idea how to use his height and reach advantage. He’s been getting hammered in so many of his recent fights. I’m actually shocked his chin has held up this long.
I knew either the OP or @Rico Spadafora would grace us with their presence to gloat over this KO, but there is some truth to it. He got caught with a good shot, but also he was completely out on his feed. Just as an archetype, he has the body of someone who would have chin problems. Hopefully he will learn a lesson about not getting reckless. Fine to be aggressive, but trading power shots with hands down on the inside is not the best way of doing business for him.
It occured to me the day of the fight, that he reminds me of the great Sandy Saddler, who supposedly converted from southpaw. Universe punished by false assumptions quickly.
Doesnt mean he had a weak chin. He fought, like Fundora, with no defense. Alao freakishly big. Alao a southpaw.
It worked for him up to now tho. Can’t imagine him being some fundamental boxer who uses his reach and jab to win lol
I was thinking and saying yesterday before the KO that he actually has a good chin for being that slender & tall with thin neck. He also gets checked by at least a few hard shots in every fight and has held up until this fight. We have also been saying how he gives up his height & likes to brawl inside which is now wise & that'd pay eventually. It happened. He also has kind of slow punches that can be countered. I will give him the benefit of the doubt, his chin is not glass, but he has issues at that weight because he hasn't even fought the better punchers yet. Charlo, Tszyu, even Castano would be a problem if he doesn't fight from range & even then, they are bound to get shots in. We'll see, but that weight might be too low for someone 6'6'' tall. He couldn't defend himself after the 1st huge shot & then his legs didn't want to get up.
let’s pretend this is True (it’s not) if he had even a good Chin his defense doesn’t matter. Defense has nothing to do with how good a fighters Chin is. Most of the Iron Chinned Warriors had awful Defense but their Granite Chins kept them in fights. This guy has a Glass Jaw. It’s not up for debate really.
Where is the Gronk gym when you need it? This guy has the potential to be the second coming of Tommy Hearns. He just needs a new trainer.
