I like all of those lol! You think bronze, meaning "finished third", is a good nickname? Are you suggesting that Chris Eubank would've been ok if he instead chose "simply the third best"? Aww man, those are my favorites!
I never commented on the nickname. The dude posed a question: And I responded... And given that most Olympic boxers don't win any medal, getting a bronze is better than most. I didn't mention Chris or make any suggestion regarding him. Again, I simply said that getting a bronze medal at the Olympics is a better finish than most. If Memory serves, L'il Floyd got a Bronze as well, so the big Alabaman is in decent company.
I'm not really sure what they're going for with "the body snatcher". It feels like whoever came up with that doesn't really know what it means.
I like it because (AFAICT) he got it after he stuck his foot in his mouth during an interview (said he basically didn't care about fighting good competition, he was just about making the business side of things work) and he owned it and made it into his identity. Still a little suspect about what he said though, we'll see. If he goes after Frank Martin, Shakur, or Haney then I'll call him whatever he wants. GOAT nickname. Yeah two good ones. I like that he doesn't run from who he is, a Nebraska guy with a very strange mother.
Yeah, it makes no sense at all looking at Whytes boxing style and character. Unless he happend to have been a grave robber as a teen....
Big Daddy is the king among the like of Babyfaced Assassin or Big Baby, but still doesn't sounds right. Aged much better due to Bioshock release, actually. Still, back in the day..
"Sweet Pea" ain't a boxing nickname, that's just his nickname........Just like "Winky" Wright........ "Big" George Foreman is a horrendous nickname. Wayne "Big Truck" Braithwaite was awful as well.
LOL. his name sounded super familiar, boxrec'd him and was like damn this guy was horrible, but did a deeper dive and it looks like in his prime he gave Bute a tough fight and his losses are mainly from the past 2 years where it looks like he embraced a journeyman role.
