Interestingly, I'm completely unaware of any documentation that proves that Foreman went days without water prior to being embarrassed by the man of 20 loses.
Ah, you don't have it so you're nitpicking typos that I routinely make on my tablet. Nice use of punctuation.
Not that I have anything to prove to you but "'People have been wrongly indoctrinated about that. They look at me compared to the George Foreman they saw years ago. Man, they didn`t know I went days without water. Without eating. That was a death trap. I had to knock out those guys fast or I`d faint.'' CHEWING THE FAT WITH ONE HEAVY GUY – Chicago Tribune Now stop trying to change the subject. Why are Foreman's quotes only credible when they suit you?
Gil Clancy is on record multiple times many years later saying it was heat stroke that saw him find god. It's hard to say it doesn't fit.
Perhaps you edited their quotes and the newspaper reports....and maybe hypnotised them into saying what they said
I do not know if Foreman was deprived of water for days then-although because you get water from other sources including food it is possible, but there is every reason to believe that what had happened for years was again going on. Why do you think Foreman Saw God? Foreman could weigh over 230 both before his pro career & after Ali with no more body fat-do you know anyone who really disputes that Saddler habitually dehydrated Foreman?' Even worse when adjusting to something like altitude... You are self-aware & bemused about your extreme bias against Foreman. But I am a-feared that you are starting to believe that desiccated, untrauined, one-legged hobo could take Foreman!
A main reason is that the Forrman quote I provided gives an explanation for why he'd throw his belt in the trash and duck Tucker, whereas the one you provided shows Foreman creating an excuse for being fat in the 90s. Educated adults understand the difference in credibility. BTW Foreman was at a career high in weight for Young.
He weighed 228 for Young. It was a career high for him. It was also the first time he went 12. If Foreman gets a pass for gassing out against Ypung and Ali, then Wlad gets passes for gassing out against Purrity and Brewster.
i was in the seats at the arco arena in may 95 at moorer's first fight after the knock out by big george. his opponent was melvin foster. you could tell that the knock out had effected him, A LOT! there were a few times in that fight he had foster on the ropes and would back off suddenly. almost as if he was expecting a huge punch. he won that fight by u.d. but could have won by knock out. yes, he would have been MUCH more cautious the second time, but something tells me that george would land one more big shot late.
I never gave Foreman a pass, please review who says what-since you do get a lot of flak, but for what seems like a pretty strong anti-George bias. However you are good-humored about being jibed about it! I recall Foreman being 232 in his first career, but am surprised box rec does not list weights for him & opponents. Any listing is appreciated. But I do not think that the info is wrong-that he was dehydrated. He could have had more mass by then-not quite so lean would do it-& was still dehydrated. Which would have accelerated under the fight conditions & length. By the way, I meant to review the study link you provided, but lost the tab. If you have it that is appreciated!
