    I suspect Corbett tries to do a lot of circling and holding but I can’t see him taking many of those Wilder right hands

    If there's one thing you can give to Corbett judging from his footage, it's his boxing IQ. He shows good displays of feinting and footwork in the Fitz fight, he's clearly a pretty smart fighter. I just think that the years of inactivity got to him, he only had 2 fights between the Sullivan fight and the Fitzsimmons fight. That's over 6 years of inactivity, and those fights were 7 rounds combined! I think that a past prime, rusty Corbett having a sloppy night is likely.

    That being said, it is hard to avoid that Wilder right for so long. Then again, Corbett did manage to frustrate Jeffries when he was old.

    Corbett has a chance - but only if he's onside with Wyatt Earp and has him referee the match. After Wilder flattens Jim, on cue, Earp will immediately rule foul and DQ Deontay.

    Yes. If he exits the ring and forces Wilder to shadowbox. Even then he still won't make it.

    Corbett, who is the size of a modern rehydrated LHW, never saw anything like Wilder.
    For all Wilder's flaws, + the boxer/slugger style advantage, this is too much for J.C> to have any realistic chance to overcome.

    I suspect Wilder would rack up his first body.
    Corbet would probably take him lightly, believing he was just a "one trick horse"....
    But that one trick would be all it took
