Joseph Obey Joyce vs. Zhāng Zhìlěi

Really excited for this one

 

Very excited for this one. I think Joyce will respect Zhang's power so it'd hard to see him going in face first as in some of his other fights. I see Joyce breaking him down behind his jab for a mid to late round stoppage, though I wouldn't be surprised if Zhang goes the distance.

 

They have a few things in common, they are both big, tough and humble, it will be hard to see either of them lose, I hope for a draw

 

Great match up of 2 slow footed octopusses, and I don't mean holding, they just seem to slide around slowly. 1 has a good 1 punch power, the other terminator like accumulation of punches & tenacity.
On paper it looks 60-40 in favor of Joyce due to better stamina, but that kind of gets erased because he will walk right into the power zone of Zhang & will get hit, so stamina might not even get in play if his chin gets cracked in the 1st 7-8 rounds. Joyce has build bad hobbits, I mean habits and likes to block with his face still.

I still think Joyce gets the decision but the fight is 51-49 in his favor. Hrgovic went through hell getting the win, and so will Joyce. I have never been too high on Zhang but he deserves respect from his last fight, he fought better than even his low stamina reputation, he gave his all, and he could pull this out if Joyce gets stupid.

 

I imagine Dwyer will say bet on the Zhang odds but hedge with KO by Joyce on the over

 

I thought for a long time who could win and in the end I will say that Zhang will knock out Joyce, Zhang looks super ready and in better shape than against Hrgovic, he seems to have lost a little weight which makes him look young...

 

And Joyce looks like Jermaine Jenas exposed to gamma radiation.

 

What's with Joyce's right bicep? Looks like he's had a tear there. Is that an old injury?

 

I have never noticed that, good eye. It definitely looks like an old injury that didn't heel properly.

My Big Bang theory is that Zhang gets dropped for good inside of four rounds. That being said, I am rooting for Zhang,
