I was right there saw it all That's why I know why the fight was stopped to save cowardly Cotto. NOT Margarito
You say Cottos face proved he had loaded gloves to you. Look at his face in fight 2 was getting beat up bad again Look at Cottos face after Pac finished with him worse the Margarito did
Antonio NEVER EVER had loaded gloves for any fight The wraps for the debacle with juiced up Mosely were tested by an independant lab & found to be HARMLESS!!. A crazy mistake by Capetillo putting a used pad in the wrap instead of a new one, plus the blatant lie from Richardson saying he saw plaster blocks fall from the wraps , led the CSAC to revoke Margarito's boxing licence in Ca because they SUSPECTED he may have tried to do something to cover their butts for stupidly believing Richardson
What happened to the law A man is deemed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law? Margarito never had a trial , he was railroaded by the CSAC to save their own embarrassment resulting in an innocent mans good name & livelihood being destroyed & tarnished based on a lie

He may have been exhausted but Cotto would have gutted it out. He had a win on his pocket and he was no Duran.

He was way ahead on the scorecards to give up and he was bent on revenge.

He was ahead on the scorecards in the first fight. He was supposed to win but Antonio made him quit on his knees. Cotto was offered a rematch but he wasn't interested until he knew Antonio 's eye was permanently damaged by Pacquaio. Cotto figured all he had to do was target that eye but he forgot Antonio would never quit. The fight was a copy of fight one except Antonio was fighting from round 2 with only one good eye.; Cotto STILL couldn't put him away. Cotto gassed out like before & faded badly Tony was beating his chest Cotto didn't have the stones Tony had. When things went bad he folded up;. The doc saw this & that's why he stopped the fight , he'd let Tony fight 8 rounds with one eye why didn't he stop it sooner??
Watch the fight you'll see for yourself Cotto earned the name Quitto alright
Oh & as for Box Rec that was incorrect The doctor stopped the fight No way did Antonio retire. I was right there remember

Ive never heard anyone call him that until now.

Also Im not putting boxrec there because of what it says about Margarito retiring, but because of the scorecards. Cotto didnt know the scorecards but he probably knew he was way ahead. Boxers do have a feeling, many times misconstructed certainly, but they do feel how the scorecards will be.

One more thing: Cotto didnt quit, his corner threw the towel which is different, Saying that Cotto quit is akin to saying Joe Frazier quit in his third fight with Muhammad Ali.

here is the video where his corner threw the towel.

I think a lot more fighters than we think are willing to die in there. The knowing trade of long term health has already been made. You have to be of an entirely different mindset to even become someone boxing forum folks have heard of. Even a fighter we don't think of as an old school tough guy type like Caleb Plant showed that he'll die in there no problem a few weeks ago.

Yes! Marciano fought through blood and hell to beat Ezzard Charles and also minus the blood IIRC, in the first Walcott bout.

Say what you wanna say that they were old and all, and they certainly were but Rocky had no quit in him.
