You must have had some more than 2 come in though? One of my best was Silky Jones W12 Verno Phillips.
Saw an interview with Wardley where he said Dacres was his most likely next defence. To be honest I think he'd defend against any of Dacres, Adelaye or Clarke. Dacres would present a few problems because of his height, reach, and boxing skill. Clarke I wonder if he'd take the fight next? High level amateur but never had 12 scheduled rounds and hasn't beat anybody much as a pro. Adelaye even less and boxes for another outfit. I think Wardley would definitely take a Clarke fight. Other way around I'm not sure, though a win would enhance Frazers rating greatly. And he doesn't have years left as a pro.
all these novice pro British HWs seem quite entitled. all signed to exclusive promoter contracts, passing around Kamil Sokolowski like a joint, acting like big shots, and in the case of “Big Fraze”, already doing punditry and writing articles for the BBC would love to see them actually fight each other and earn their status
If the fight happens i favour Clarke to win. I think his good fundamentals will be the difference, as Wardley is erratic and leaves gaps to be exploited.
Thinks its a fight Clarke needs more at close to 32 does he have 2-3 years to keep having "learning" fights. Also i think you will see the best of Clarke in this type of fight. That said if he does lose does he have a future above british/euro level ? Unlikley.
This is why I think he may be the one to refuse a Wardley fight rather than the other way round. Wardley has no amateur career but has a good pro record, to an extent has proved himself at a half decent level. Gorman gets criticism but isn't without skill and has some good wins himself and Wardley saw him off. You're correct about the age factor. Frazer should be boxing every month but is about as active as a heavyweight champion. Despite his glittering amateur career ten more fights and aged 35 probably wont get him to the top level. If he's confident of beatinbg WArdley maybe better to take a risk and fight him this year?
What do people have against Wardley, I don't get it? He comes across as a decent level headed guy, watched his interview on Sky the other week and I believe when he says he'd fight Clarke/Adeleye now if it was proposed. For someone who's only had 15 fights he's already been in the ring with 3-4 well known guys (certainly to British fans anyway).
It's quite a shame the Bogdan Dinu fight was stopped so early as Frazier could have done with the rounds. I think Clarke could do with a 6-8 round fight before Wardley. I fancy him to win against Wardley, despite such inexperience in pro boxing.
Against that you've got Wardleys quickness and do or die attitude. 50 50 fight right now for me maybe both get cut so possible unsatisfactory ending
Not me mate I like him. Bright lads, natural fighter obviously. I believe him too. Any body doesn't want the fight its those two at this point due to lack of good level wins.
that's true but he is better than the likes of Clarke and Adeleye. Gorman is a disappointment to a lot of people he was talked up a lot on the way up but he is always fat and doesn't seem to have his heart in it.
I don't understand the urge and desire to arrange this fight now ? Why not wait ? If Frazer Clarke signs with Matchroom in a few months then it is easy to arrange.
