The conclusion to be drawn from last night is not that Joyce would lose to Foreman, but that Zhang would knock the holy spirit out of Foreman.

Foreman had no head movement either. And he wasn't a 6'6, 270 pound man.

Foreman in the first two minutes just like he did to Joe Frazier and Ken Norton

I agree but he had more speed and a lot more power and was better at going to the body. I see it as either George Foreman in the first half ot Joe Joyce wears him out and stop him in the 2nd half

I think George Foreman stopping him in the first half is the more likely outcome

I think the same thing applies vs Foreman and Zhang with a Foreman ko but I wonder how the southpaw thing would work vs Foreman

Joyce has an amazing chin though, Norton and Frazier couldn`t have taken the shots Joyce took from Zhang.

I doubt it would bother him very much. He was well schooled in the art of hand fighting and obstructing punch lanes was an important facet of his style.

Sandy Saddler was said to be a converted southpaw, hence the origin of his extended rear hand which imitated limitations of the jab in an open stance.

Oh my, this has aged very well. The rational answer, informed by actual boxing knowledge - both before and after Joyce's obvious limitations were exposed by the mediocre Zhang - is that prime Foreman destroys him.

Hell, I'd give the Foreman that fought Holyfield a decent chance of beating Joyce!!

No, Joyce`s hands looked quicker than the Foreman that lost to Holy, Zhang would have beaten 90`s Foreman also he has quicker hands and maybe more power, he also would have been too big and robust for 70`s Foreman, we never saw George in the ring with someone as big as Zhang.

Foreman via Stoppage in 4. This will be a punching bag session.

Foreman would be eating a lot of shots though.

Joyce will eat more. Foreman's defense is like Nicolino Locche compared to Joyce...

Peak Foreman in the 70's (Frazier 1-Roman-Norton) would beat Joe Joyce for sure. Joyce's defense is worse, he's too easy a target. Foreman's tactics are better. Foreman hasn't been in the ring with someone like Joyce, but vice versa.
Down goes Joyce, Down goes Joyce.
