Better make them count ! Have people actually looked at Zhangs career and the level of the fighters he has fought ? His best opponent up until Hrgovic and Joyce was Forrest who had already lost to Washington Hunter Franklin Takam .
Seriously, first people were grossly over-rating Joyce off the Parker win, now they are over-rating Zhang. Zhang, like Joyce, will be exposed soon. Fury and even Joshua would destroy him.
I remember after his fight in May last year the commentators said that in an interview he told them he felt like he could fight four or five more years since he hadn't taken much damage in his career. While that's true, and power is one of the last things to go, I agree that he probably doesn't have that much longer. The gas tank issues are too big to ignore, so even if he's got a rock solid chin and doesn't go down, he'd probably be outpointed by anyone he couldn't get out of there in the first half of the fight. That said, I think he could do that to quite a few of the top guys. I'd like to see him and his management capitalize on this newfound momentum and recognition, finally get him nothing but the big fights. We know this is a guy who wouldn't go in with a "cash out" mentality even if he stood only a small chance, so we'd get some good fights no matter who he's put in there with.
The sad part is I doubt it will be soon, whether he ko's those guys or gets humiliated. Next April is probably the soonest.
