Dude, shut up. Your “research” isn’t discrediting anything and I correctly called you out on misreading the word “sacred.”

I didn't misread Jack pal. I correctly deduced the word "sacred" made zero sense in the context, did my research and saw multiple other sources say the "correct " word was scared.

Based on the conflicting reports, I decided to seek out the original source of the interview and upon locating it... Foreman never even said that quote. The interviewer said something very similar, and it was attributed to Foreman. But he used the word "scared" not sacred which would've been laughably out of place grammar-wise.

Interestingly, plugging “sacred foreman tyson” into Google gives articles using the exact quote over and over again, because it’s what he said. And it makes perfect sense. I’ll at least give Foreman credit for having the self awareness to not randomly insult Tyson while dishing out his fake humble bull**** to the interviewer. Perhaps you should take a remedial English class.

Lewis and Bowe both held titles during Foremans comeback. Foreman not fighting them can't be explained away through the argument that he was focused on winning the title.

On a related topic why didn't Zhang fight better opposition during his prime? He seems to have wasted his best years when he could have been fighting good opponents.

Why didn't he fight AJ, Wilder, Whyte etc?

Zhang was in the mix as a Fury opponent but I think Schwarz and Wallin got their numbers called instead. I’m pretty sure he did work as a sparring partner and got slowed down by the COVID shutdowns which happened when he should’ve been stepping up.

I find it funny how NoNeck always calls people out for being emotional as if their arguments lose any merit, yet here he is trying to insult a poster, while feeling proud of himself for noticing that the aforementioned poster misread his own spelling mistake, as if that is a genuine indication of intellectual superiority.

Find me the interview where the quote was attributed from and show me where Foreman said those exact words.

Ot admit you lied if you can’t.

I’m not going to because zeroing in on a single word is spectrum behavior. It’s well documented that he went on record as having avoided Tyson.

Yes - there is a curious mirth to be found in that unfortunate smugness of morons who think themselves as smart.

In this case the straightforward potential for the 'propagation of error' seems to have eluded those razor-like wits we have become so accustomed to admiring...

The Foreman interview is quite likely that conducted by Max Kellerman for ESPN, in 2019...

I didn't hear the word "sacred".

I believe the relevant section of the interview is as follows:

    Kellerman: "
    This content is protected
    "

    Foreman: "
    This content is protected
    "

    Kellerman: "
    This content is protected
    "

    Foreman: "
    This content is protected
    "

I think the interview was erroneously transcribed in this article:

    https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/boxing/mike-tyson-slammed-boxing-legend-20893616

This has since been used as a source by other publications, blindly inserted into copy, across multiple articles, blog postings, forums etc etc. For example:

    https://www.givemesport.com/1522550...ith-the-baddest-man-on-the-planet-mike-tyson/

It is not uncommon in this lazy age of copy&paste, net-journalism.

Another point to make here is that, in this interview, Foreman's mind seems to be on the post-Prison version of Tyson, having made reference to the bite fight earlier in the discussion. This would have been at a time when George, at 48, was about to retire for good.

Even cursory research will show that Foreman was singing an entirely different tune about Tyson in the early stages of his return, on the way to his first title shot - of his second career.

It's sad really, but the ''truth'' of the future always overwrites the truth of the past/present, you can see it in many older threads in Classic. It's one thing to change the status quo due to new information being found in an incomplete subject, but another thing entirely to just commit forgery.
