I've noticed countless Haney fans suddenly and very conveniently starting to big Loma up now he's old and past his best, and more importantly is fighting Haney next. This is after spending his entire career hating on him with a genuinely disturbing and completely unwarranted vengeance and dismissing him as a ''hype job'' (and I mean even when he was in his glorious prime) who has ''never fought anyone '' whilst simultaneously hyping the living poop out of some of the biggest hype jobs in the sport. And people wonder why some of us take issue with this and throw rocks back over the fence?

They also frothed at the mouths like rabid dogs about him being ranked P4P even though it was on merit and those they predictably thought deserved to be ranked in place of him categorically didn't

And they've have spent the last few years blowing a gasket at the fact he's still ranked in the P4P top 10 which they categorically do not think he belongs there so it's amusing they think they can get away with this transparent BS.

FTW, I'm not accusing you of being one of them.

And yes he is or rather was phenomenal.

This was exactly why I went with Tank.

They are two different boxing pedigrees.

After round 6, I don't think Garcia has lived enough boxing, nor lives enough boxing, to have given him the dimensions and wrinkles in both character and skills, to deal with Tank.

For all his distractions, Tank lives boxing more than Garcia.

    Imo

I'm not buying this Garcia couldn't get up stuff.

I think he could and he made the conscious decision not to continue.

But it will be understandable imo if it turns out he has a broken rib.

good job by tank. his reaction time was on point. his ability to counter right over ryans shots made garcia afraid to shoot. ryan must have sparred with guys much taller than tank, cause that left kept flying over tanks head. i thought he would be prepared to hook low, since tank dips constantly when countering. but no. i also expected uppercuts, since he was facing a short guy who, again, likes to dip. i saw a couple things i liked in what ryan was doing, but hes got a lot of things to learn still.
tank is peaking. he should be fighting as often as he can cause hes as good as hes gonna get. phenomenal speed on his counters and great anticipation. as i said before the fight, if ryan gets repetitive with any of his moves, hes getting caught. he got repetitive.

Garcia was timing his left hook, but he didnt have the big time experience to deal with what Tank was doing. He did well but it came down to championship experience and Ryan lacked all of it.

I am not a Haney fanboy but yes I do respect his accomplishments to date. I don’t think anybody can credibly say Loma is a hype job who has never fought anybody. That just does not wash. The fight on May 20th is an intriguing contest. The only prediction I can safely make is that either way it will be by points.

I said the clause was unnecessary. I didn’t say it would be why he would lose. He quit because he got up as soon as the count reached 10. He doesn’t have the heart to go to war.

I must say I love Ryan Garcia’s parents. His mum gave Tank a big hug and cuddle in the post fight press conference. Of course Oscar and B-Hop were not there.
