I think Loma is a hall of famer but is he a first ballot if he loses to Devin I just feel like Loma needs 1 more big win to really be a atg in this era

If he wins he becomes undisputed at 135 that would make him a first ballot Hall of Famer if he loses I think he still makes it but maybe not first ballot.

If some US fighter refused to fight for undisputed, because his country was at war, people would maka movies about him, but Loma is not from US, so he needs to stop everybody, even guys how are much bigger than him, to get little bit of credit and people to actually mention his name next to 4 "kings"

Loma is already a HOF fighter imo. But if he wants to be considered ATG then he needs to beat Haney.

Loma spent so much time in the amateur's that it hurt his pro career & most in the world don't either remember or care about the amateur's in counting a persons career.

Hes a 3 weight world champ, that alone makes him a HOF

Lomachenko is already a first ballot HOFer.

If he defeats Haney, I think we can then entertain ATG status.

Ironically, had he remained at 130lbs (his optimal weight and the absolute apex of his power, speed, boxing etc), he would already be in the junior lightweight/super featherweight ATG discussion.

He's already a hall of famer and he would be a top 50 or higher ATG had he turned pro when he was a teen or much younger because he would've been bare minimum a six or seven-weight champion.

He's a three-weight world champion as it is now

The joint quickest one weight champ

    The quickest ever two-weight champ

And the quickest ever three-weight champ

But had he turned pro in his teens or when he was much younger like many other greats did he would've been competing in much lighter divisions than the ones he did as a pro and winning world titles in all of those too. Divisions he would've been far more suited to than he is 135 and he nearly became undisputed in that one battling giants.

If you don't think he would've also won world titles at 112, 115, 118, and 122 if he tuned pro much younger and then you DKSAB. He's amazing enough as it is against way bigger fighters but against ones who don't hold huge physical advantages over him and his own size he's supernatural scary good, let alone smaller ones. Hence, why he was leading the plus minus stats racking up Floyd numbers when he was down at 126 and 130.

He's still #3 overall now for goodness sake and the two fighters ranked ahead of him are huge for their divisions, have fought way worse competition and way less world champions than him and pretty much none their size.

I must be the only guy in the forum who is not a fan of loma. But anyway, it's beyond stupid to think that loma is not a HOFer. It's very obvious that he already is.

It really didn't hurt his career at all. Lomachenko was fighting world champions at 26 years old. At 28, the same age as Davis right now Lomachenko had 5 title defenses under his belt. How many other fighters in the sport have 5 title defenses at 28? That's more than both Charlos, Spence, Crawford, Tank, and Estrada. Canelo, who won his first title at 21, barely surpasses Lomachenko's title defenses by 28 years old.
