    I believe he took a tactical knee to recover and just couldn't beat it anymore. Plenty have been subdued by a liver shot.

    I thought he was hurt but not as bad as he made it seem and used it as his way out. Just my opinion

    I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but the punch didn't look all that great and if he is going to be ko'd by shots like that he best find another line of work

    Both. He already found out in early rounds that Tank is above him

    That liver shot got him hard, but he was able to continue

    He just chosed to quit and to lose by a TKO and not to risk to get pawned by a KO. Garcia still could have continued and go for that lucky shot, but he decided not to risk it

    He was hurt but he could have got up. He didn't want the extra punishment and knew he was beat

    I know what you mean, but he did lose by KO, couldn’t beat the count.

    Unless you've boxed and actually felt those kind of shots then you'd vote that he quit. He was mid punch and his body wasnt ready for the shot, he mentioned not being able to breathe and the shot hit his solar plexus and trapped the air.

    He could have probably stood up so definitely some element of quitting but to argue whether he was hurt is silly.

    I think Ryan was hurt, but not nearly as bad as to not be able to continue. Even Tank said that he didn't think the shot was that devastating.

    Plus I didn't see Ryan taking in massive gulps of air and stretching out his trunks as most do after a body shot KO.

    Look at Butler. He fell over on both sides and he was gasping for air.

    Butler was hurt to the body and that’s why he was gasping for air. Liver shots are weird and hard to explain unless you have been punched there, the mind still work but the body shuts down. With body shots (when you gasping for air) you can “tough out” but with liver shots your body stop responding.

    Can’t say 100% that that’s what happened to Garcia but he didn’t look discouraged and fought to win up until then so it didn’t seem like he gave up because he was getting beat up.
