Survives the storm and causes Tyson to finish on his stool.

I saw the Kuala Lumpur fight, it wasnt as bad as people put it, they both traded punches for fifteen hard rounds and Bugner got his punches in.

The Memphis version of Tyson was shot. The only reason I got that fight with Lewis was my brother in law paid for it as a gift to me lol...

So I think Bugner would win..heck McBride beat Tyson not long after...

Any decent contender could have beaten the 2002 incarnation of Tyson and Joe Bugner was definitely a decent contender!

Bugner wins by around 9 - 3 in rounds

It was! I got respect for him after watching it.

Alfredo Evangelista did a similar showing but that fight was awful to watch lol. Ali-Bugner was by no means Ali-Frazier but it wasnt as boring as many seem to think either.

I agree with you about the Bugner fight. I've always thought that Joe got too much flak for his performance. He was obviously concerned about burning his energy up too quickly in that heat.

There’s an intent thing called Godwin’s Law, which is basically about the premise that if any online discussion goes on long enough, this greatly increases the likelihood of one side being compared to Nazi Germany.

There’s also ‘Bugner’s Law’, which is very similar in that the longer an online debate about long-retired fighters goes on, the more likely it is that they’ll start becoming much better fighters than they ever were and will occasionally win classic match-ups against far superior opponents. This is also known as the ‘Marlene Fallacy’.

Even this Tyson has enough to still beat Joe, who I doubt ever believed he could actually defeat a fighter of this calibre.

Tyson hadn't gone more than five rounds in about six years or so when he fought Lewis so it's very possible that Bugner extends him and beats him. That Tyson was a there round fighter , still very dangerous for three rounds but then faded mentally and physically .. post Lewis he became a one round fighter and that guy lost to Williams and McBride ...
