Ryan is a front runner

When he started getting all those tattoos it was only a matter of time before his self-obsession and narcissism caught up with him.

 

Ryan didn't like that many people thought of him as a weak model looking boxer so then he got the tattoos and came out with the whole mental illness story, he never had self confidence.

 

It was definitely a reality check for him. But he was so dumb, he led 3 times consecutively with the lead left hook, with Tank ducking them all and of course of the 4th lead left hook, Tank countered him. If you are going to be that predictable you deserve to be put on your ass.

 

That's what happens when you throw a left hook that wide against a skilled boxer, he looked like an amateur in that exchange.

Tank is a very smart fighter and instinctual in most of the things he does.

 

Tank was punishing Garcia and Ryan had no answer. He could have gotten up probably but it would not have ended well for him. I was impressed with Tank’s defense against that left hook. Ryan’s only real weapon. Ryan worked a jab early but gave up on it and was getting careless. He was obviously too inexperienced and lacked weapons beyond the left hook. If he lost confidence it was for good reason. You can only get punched in the body and head so many times.

 

Yeah watched the interview of Ryan's father confirming that he told him he didn't want to take any further punishment & didn't get up.

 

Should have varied some of those hooks with one thrown to the body from a neutral foot position as well as occasional right hand. Extremely limited punch selection, I thought he'd prepared better for the fight of his life.
