Do you think that if Tank is 'that guy' then that he'll step up to the likes of Shakur or Haney, Loma? Whatever fighters are the cream of his division. That'd be value for boxing in my mind. Or will he face lesser opponents but still guarantee himself a massive paycheck for that fight and in the future to the suffering of boxing?

He will fight them though he is the A side so they need to understand he dictates the terms and if that reality is understood the fights will happen and all will get massive pay days. I suspect Tank’s next fight will be. Against either Issa Cruz or Teofimo Lopez if he beats Josh Taylor which allows the winner of Haney vs Loma to face Shakur and the winner faces Tank next year in another mega fight.

I appreciate what you're saying and it makes sense. The 'A' side as it is is nonsense in this state of affairs. I just read an article that stated 'Haney needs and impressive win over Lomachenko to earn the the right to face Davis'. To 'EARN' the right. It doesn't take much looking at both Haney (if victorious) and Tank to distinguish which boxer should be calling the shots in that scenario.

The economics and box office appeal determines who calls the shorts .Tank has just earned over $60 Million from last week’s on a conservative assessment.

Every YouTuber has a belt. Anyone with a large social media following in a "beef" with another social media clown walks around with them over their shoulders.

Orgs make new ones every year. You can order copies of them on places like the WBC websites so you can walk around with them on, too.

I think Sulaiman even gave both Paul brothers WBC belts before they even fought a professional boxer. He gives belts to boxers who never won a belt. He gives them to relatives of boxers. He names belts and makes new divisions to honor people who never boxed.

You see a belt, you don't even have to know who the fighter is. You just think boxing. (Even if the person wearing it isn't a boxer.)

The face of boxing at the moment is a BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP Belt.

It’s a fake made up title that means nothing. Usually promoters use it to try to prop up or hype a fighter but it’s just another meaningless term. Guys like Tank can call themselves the face of boxing which is funny when he does it as he doesn’t even have a real belt in his weight class. I would think the face of boxing would have to be a unified champ or at least hold one of the major belts. Since there are no real qualifications to use the term, anyone can call himself the face of boxing.

Just words, I prefer fighting. Let them settle it in the ring not on Twitter. Even if it’s a fighter I don’t like, he can call himself anything he wants if he’s willing to fight the best and unify his weight class.

So where is the best place to start to take the attention away from what fights make the most income? Because that strategy is obviously and evidently hurting the chances of the best fights being made. There's an article that suggested the best way moving forward would be to bring the lower weights increasingly into the spotlight and create conversation and competition between the belts. I like that idea on the surface. Not sure what obstacles that'd face practically, especially with the organisations.

I'd like to see it but I have my doubts. The winner of Haney v Loma against Shakur is the most magnetic for me. I'd like to see if Shakur would just straight outclass Davis though or whether he'd get his chin/body tested. Has Cruz taken Tank's best shot already? I think he did good in walking him down. A better all-round boxer could take the same approach with better results. Who knows though. Anything can happen in boxing.
