Yeah if he ever fights again. Im a big Ortiz fan, but his recent health problems are a reason for concern.

This is a very high risk fight for Munguia. While Derevyanchenko is definitely more shot than not, the reality is, while he started very slow... he finished very strong, and he deserved that win over Adames, who he had clinging on for dear life in the last two rounds. And in all likelihood, Adames has far more one punch power than Munguia does. So if Sergey can find his rhythm early, stay on the inside and bring the fight to Jaime, he can both outwork him and hurt him. I wouldn't rule out stopping him all together. He brings the same intangibles that Tureano Johnson did to the table, who without that crazy split lip injury he sustained, was well on his way to pulling the upset.

He recently said that he will continue fighting. Hopefully he moves up to 154 for his own sake.

Derevyanchenko would whip him big time if he wasn't as shot as a target backstop in Texas

ahaha Sergei Mr Just Good Enough To Lose, the punishment magnet

it’s a step up for Munguia in that it’s slightly better than Jimmy Kilrain Kelly and Demetrius Ballard

He would upset the apple cart if he was at his best

The problem is, he looked shot/ well past it against Adames and has been inactive since. So they've chose him at the exact perfect time to be a name on Munguia's record.

Who punished him? Nobody! He could have a win against all those top guys he fought.

Dervenchencko is beyond shot to pieces.

That being said it still a good litmus test & challenge for Mungo who will be thrust into the limelight now That Goldenboy’s Goldie baby goose Ryan has lost his 0.

if Jamie can stop him - Then A Mall Charlo fight would make a lot of sense for both camps & promotional companies at this point - as they have both significantly fallen from grace in their careers.

They would also be the largest reward & path of least resistance - as opposed to fighting a boo-boo.

Really like Derevyenchenko but he just isn't the same fighter as he once was, he's been in too many wars. I can only hope Sergiy turns back the clock and surprises Munguia.
