There's plenty of fighters you just don't "trade" with for amusement. Scoring against dangerous opposition is much preferred during fight time. NAME any fighters (you can) who were way too risky to brawl OR stand toe-to-toe with. I'll start off with... Corrie Sanders.
While other guys would shadow box before a fight …Azumah would just start winding his arms up…smiling
Even Bob Foster didn't want to get into a fire fight with Tiger. He needed to use his range to keep him at bay before detonating a left hook from hell.
At their respective best weights: Bob Fitzsimmons (unless you're Jim Jeffries), BJW, Terry McGovern, Sam Langford, Jimmy Wilde, Mickey Walker, Sandy Saddler, Sonny Liston, Dick Tiger, Emile Griffths, George Foreman, Roberto Duran, Bob Foster, Marvin Hagler, David Tua or Manny Pacquiao.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the OP. I see numerous Emile Griffith references but he only had 23 knockouts in 111 fights.
