Yeah, if you treat it as a loss for ranking purposes that's ok. If you treat all losses as equal, that's weird. Either way, I disagree. Sunny hasn't sat a test remotely like Taylor, not remotely close - in no way comparable in any sporting sense. You have him outright failing it, I don't, hence the difference in ranking.
