A lot of people don't like the kid, understandable, but what are some ways we can fix the fundamental issues the kid seems to have with boxing? I don't like the way he chases down as opposed to cutting off the ring, or how he leaves his hands down when jabbing, or that he leads lunging with the left hook. I also don't like how as a tall, long fighter he seems to forget that the straight right down the pipe is effective against shorter fighters. Who are some trainers that can fix all of that or at least make some progress in those areas, and what kind of style would you give him to further maximize his potential? It's obvious he isn't missing any attributes, he has all the athletic gifts that most boxers wish they had.
I see this sentiment a lot. I don't think Ryan has improved or regressed with or without Reynoso. Ryan with Goosen was the same Ryan I've seen his entire career.

The first thing he needs to do is go all in on his boxing career and forget about being a celebrity. He really never should have left the Reynoso's and Canelo.
He needs balls to stick to a strict gameplan, getting his boxing on, staying at bay, using his length, instead of being irresponsible and make it a firefight going for the ko up close on the shorter fighter. It might require too much work for him. His mental mentality needs to be fixed in regards to the having no trainer thing. People around him show him mad love/ gets lots of respect so only necessity can make him change. At this point he MAY be content in still doing his things on his own, making another huge payday at 140 vs tank with no rematch clause. Holyfield was the epitome of listening to his own trainer(s) and he goes down as one of the best stories and accomplishments in boxing, the real deal "rendering himself completely 100 % coachable by his trainer to win the fight and listen to the game plan instructions." Don't get me wrong, he's a great kid but tank didn't play that stuff, he was fiercely focused, while Ryan is kinda coddled yet, a lot of potential and kudos to Ryan. I hope he starts reaching higher levels because there are levels to this. And you don't play boxing. No playing around, games are for kids and he's a grown man! Like Jermaine taylor told Bernard Hopkins: "you're too old to cry." Garcias gotta ride with the body shots too instead of refusing to get up lol. The goose tried his best. I think those are the areas he needs to work on.
The problem he has is somewhat unique; he became a massive social media star/influencer before he even became anywhere close to challenging for a world title (and he still hasn’t). He has over 10m Instagram followers, a ton of money and is well-known by the younger generation. He’s already more famous than the vast majority of world champions will ever be and he’s still only 24. When you have that much fame, money and success already, it’s hard to motivate yourself to put in the work to be a world champion. I think that’s why he skipped a tune-up fight and chased the Tank Davis fight straight away: only a super fight like Tank would seriously motivate him.
Well , it’s good he left goosen, who is overrated as a trainer. Now he needs to develop a better arsenal beside the left hook, and learn to box rather than charge in and get caught.
How’s about become trainable? I said it before, Garcia won’t become a good boxer nor will he ever be elite after what we saw. He simply doesn’t have the mindset to be a great fighter because he doesn’t listen. He didn’t Show up to train consistently with Reynoso or Goosen, so there is no point in asking for a coach to fix his flaws. He is lack of jab, sitting up punches and pivots will always be basic flaws that will be exploited by any elite fighter, and he won’t ever fix them p.s. he also quit against Davis anyway. So even if by some miracle, he did fix his flaws…he’s always a major punch/cut away from quitting again
