Don't Top Rank have an ongoing relationship with Sky? Could this fight fall under that dealor will they try and make it PPV in the UK?
Smith can win this. Styles make fights so Beterbiev being an aggressive pressure fighter Smith can catch him coming in with his lethal left hook
Not much in the UK either. BT PPV, with splits of revenue, would probably need 200,000 buys. Unless you stuck it at Anfield or something for the bigger gate. As for the dodgy numbers - nonsense. It's like bidding for a house, you know roughly what you think you need to bid, then add odd numbers on the end to get past someone else. Promoters will know what it's worth.
No he won’t. There is no other route. It’s a shot at 3 titles - Smith either takes it or he may as well retire as he will have zero credibility.
He won’t. He has let several of his fighters fight on a variety of different platforms in the past year. It would make no sense. Smith could beat Beterbiev and if he doesn’t take the fight there is no other big fight out there for him. He likely wants a lot of money to fight but isn’t a big name himself. They could have potentially made Smith Bivol I guess as the only alternative.
Im sure Smith wont pull out. Don't think he will be that bothered Matchroom lost purse bid. Let's be honest, hardly likely any judges will be needed. I think Smith at LHW is p4p is one of the biggest punchers in the sport (Beterbiev, obviously is.) Both fighters are there there to be hit. Both are fast starters. I actually think this fights is a pick um, though whoever loses, i imo will be stopped early. I will be surprised if it goes past 4 rounds.
Off topic but see if Conor Benn had just answered every question with "That will be an eggumenical matter" he probably wouldn't be in this predicament
