You can never tell with Glaser although if those first reported numbers were true then Showtime would have confirmed them but they rarely go down that line & instead have their Media member's do it for them as a way of getting credit while dodging the legal ramifications, Plus using Thaboxingvoice as your source that in itself is laughable.
This is true, and a point that is often overlooked regarding why official numbers are usually only released when they are very good.
Frist of all you post a known Haymon PBC alphabet boy community agents tweet - not the best thing to do. Rick Glaser's source for PPV numbers comes from a LA based attorney in the tv business. (Very credible) The haters keep hating, but that's alright - you are paid to do that.
How can you blame DAZN for the difference in reported PPV numbers when Glaser always gives a lower number than what is reported.
Isn´t Glaser the guy who always reported half the numbers everyone else was putting out? And I might be wrong, but didn´t a lawsuit filed against Golden Boy prove Glasers numbers wrong for the Canelo-Khan fight? Regardless, 960k is still amazing.
He might do like 350k - 400k for Pitbull Cruz rematch. Which is still great #s considering he ain’t gotta pay split with Cruz as much as Ryan.
i actually re upped on my DAZN sub For another year & figured I would order the Tank vs Ryan PPV at $30 cheaper then Shotime well They hosed me so I ended up ordering on Shotime as well & then mid broadcast I checked DAZN & it was also working - so I wonder how many people double ordered like myself?
That's US PPV buys. Could there be another 300-400 international buys? I can't say, but think that should be found out.
International buys for two American fighters are pretty insignificant. There can be some additional numbers if there is a foreign guy involved.
