I don't know if he will actually go through with it. After tonight he is showing nothing that says a Bivol rematch won't be another one-sided show.

I would still watch it because it is a bold move for someone as marketable as Canelo to take a loss like most of us assume he will. Not likely to be a close fight, but most guys in his position would back out.

I think if he takes the Bivol rematch, Bivol will beat him with ease. I liked Canelos style years ago but Bivols style is way superior than his now. Canelo shouldnt take that fight.

He says he’ll retire if he loses. At least Bivol isn’t the biggest puncher and Canelo may not retire with a ko loss. But yes, he will lose and is past his prime. Still good but no longer the elite fighter he was

He should fight Benavidez, Charlo, Andrade, and possibly Morrell. Forget about Bivol that is not a winnable fight for Clen.

If by some divine miracle Canelo beats Bivol, I want to see Canelo get obliberated by Beterbiev afterwards.

I think he might be tight at 168. He should do better at 175 again. But I think it will be the same result as last time

Beterbiev is 38 and just had a war with Yarde out of all people.
Canelo has a better shot at beating Beterbiev than Bivol.

He was getting hit with uppercuts and hooks from Ryder all night.

To be fair, Canelo clearly had no respect for Ryder´s power.
And it´s not as if I was saying that Canelo would beat Beterbiev, I said he had a better chance at beating him than Bivol.

I agree, stylistically Beterbiev is quite static when he attacks which favour Canelo a teeny bit more but it's still a huge huge ask of Canelo.

I don't think he'll be able to take the power at all.

All he has to do is be a little better than last time and he can win on the cards.
Everyone is talking about how Bivol dominated him but it doesn't matter as the cards were still close.
If Bivol has to dominate that much to win, there's a good chance he can't repeat that with Canelo adapting and ends up like Golovkin in the first fight, winning obviously but getting screwed by the judges.
Canelo isn't taking a massive risk against the weakest punching and smallest LHW champ and one he knows he will have the judging advantage against.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Canelo got the decision this time. He wouldn't be surprised either. He knows he just needs to close the gap a bit and he'll take it.

The only way Canelo wins is by robbery.

I always thought Canelo could win the rematch

Las Vegas judging + more defensive style + more jabbing + working his way in boxer-puncher style for bodywork and uppercuts

But from what I've seen against GGG and now Ryder, Canelo is fighting the same way he has done since Callum Smiff. No doubt he'll try to blast Bivol out again

I think Canelo sees Beterbiev as a better matchup and sees Bivol as the mountain to climb. He deffo deserves respect but he'll need a turn-back-the-clock performance, and it's crazy we're now saying that
