How would prime Canelo have fared against Mayweather?

No version of canelo wins to mayweather at a fair weight. NONE. There are levels in this game, and the same as no version of ryder could ever win to canelo, no version of canelo could ever win to mayweather. Just different levels, there is not a single fighter at mayweather's level in his generation.

 

It ain't just that, but also his work ethic. Not many fighters prioritize training the way Mayweather did. You can see some of it shine through Tank which is probably why Tank dominates his competition to the degree he does.

 

Canelo does terrible against guys with good movement, jab and can dictate distance. Any version of Canelo loses to the 35 year old version of Mayweather that whooped him.
