Why are you surprised I said that? Sure, I can understand why people stay down and I don't hold it against them as much as many on here would. But I also greatly value prideful yet self destructive macho impulse of showing the heart of a warrior and walking through hellfire and brimstone, trying to win at any cost. Never for once did he stop thinking he could pull it off, and he was getting to him in the second half of the match more and moe as the rounds went by. It has nothing to do with you thinking or let's say prideful boasting that he's not on the same level as Canelo, get over it, step back and look at what most saw last it. It had everything to do with Ryder earning everyone's love and admiration, and willing to go toe to toe Mexican style in Mexico willing to lay it all on the line even though the odds ere clearly against him, valiantly willing to do out on his shield to get the victory. From now on, he'll forever be known as the beast of a man that all of us fans of his said he was. Sometimes, grit, balls, willpower and heart means more in this sport than skills and even winning, it's certainly something he can be proud of and brag about to his grandchildren. That was his Gatti moment, and that will go down as an iconic moment in history, as opposed to Callum Smith and Caleb Plant's wholly forgettable pisspoor efforts.

 

No... you're just being a hater, who's going out of your way to not get it and not see what the rest of us saw, just like you were doing before the fight. This is your version of macho pride. Get over it, and admire what he did in there, like everyone else.

 

Right after he got dropped, he came back and tried to win the round, then when he got brutally rocked, he fought with everything he had and landing the best shots of the fight on Canelo. He fought with a broken nose for 11 rounds, which inhibited him for a about 4 rounds, then he got over it, gritted his teeth and fought through the pain. He won in many people's estimation, between 4 and 5 rounds, so no, you're not seeing things accurately.... you're living in your own reality. People are admiring his tenacity and heart, because he never stopped trying, and was starting to lay a beating on Canelo late. What? Did you tune out 7 rounds in? Did you actually watch the match, because I'm not sure you did.
