who wins ive got Zhang edging this one due to Povetkin historically struggling against bigger fighters who have an element of skill

We all know how Povetkin fights, he comes forward looking to get up close, question is can Zhang move well enough to maintain distance or can he do what Wlad did and tie Povetkin up. From what I've seen of Zhang he doesn't have the style to beat Povetkin, he's pretty stationary and he isn't a clincher, so he'd have to fight Povetkin at his range and he loses that fight.

Very interesting match-up not sure who comes out on top. Zhang's size may prove to be too much for Povetkin.

Povetkin is just a different level to the Chinaman. Povetkin is probably the most underrated heavyweight of all time.

Povetkin would outclass Zhang in a fight that might look a bit similar to the Duhaupas one, albeit a more competitive version that probably goes to the cards. Zhang's got massive power but his style seems a bit limited, and I don't think it matches up well with the sharp punching Povetkin.

I fancy Povetkin due to his all round skillset, ability to quickly close the distance and good engine. He'll be chugging along in round 9 when Zhang has blown all his gaskets. Of course Zhang always has a chance with his unusual combination of size, power and southpaw stance, but Sasha is the guy that's really proven at high level.

Povetkin all day. He’s more talented and he also produced one of my favorite knockouts when he took care of Price.

It would be rights out for Zhang.

Don't know. Did Povetkin beat anyone better than Huck (50-50), Takam, Whyte, Chambers or Chagaev? He was far less dominant vs Wach than Wlad was, arguably less dominant than Miller. Wach's size and toughness alone weren't easy for Povetkin to contend with. Wlad, Price and Joshua all put Povetkin down, two of them beat him. Povetkin tended to make hard work of his better opponents and lose to his best opponents, Zhang would be very hard work.

Povetkin and Parker have several mutual opponents (Takam, Joshua, Hughie, Whyte). Povetkin clearly performed better but not far better, a fight between Povetkin and Parker would have been competitive. Joyce stopped Parker and Zhang stopped Joyce.

    Povetkin just too active.

It is a shame Povetkin is totally shot. He is one of the few heavies that I really miss. If it weren't for that anti-Russian thing, he could go for the bridgerweight crown and re-retire a champ (of sorts).

Don’t forget about Povetkin’s destruction of the lock for the Hall of Fame Chris Byrd.
