Canelo vs Ryder PPV numbers are out in the range of 200,000-250,000 PPV buys compared to Tank’s circa 1,400,000 PPV buys. Game set and match.

If that little oaf is the face of boxing how come he couldn't replicate those numbers against the other opponents he's fought? Garcias tweeny bopper followers brought a good portion of that figure to the table I suspect.. but regardless, Americans might think hes the face of boxing but other cultures think he likes eating ass & is an overrated classless little thug .. and this pound for pound nonsense is BS too.. it's just little men imagining what it's like to be big .. Americans having to create fictional scenarios because they don't dominate the REAL food chain in boxing no more

With Canelo on his way out in the next couple years there needs to be someone who can carry the sport in North America. I wish Tank the best of luck but he'll need to step in the ring with elite opponents to claim the PPV throne.

Uhh no one cared about Canelo vs Ryder. Thats why the PPV buys were low.

According to a @CST80 post on another thread, the numbers spiked dramatically because he was fighting Ryan Garcia. If anything, that fight showed Garcia would be the face of boxing as compared to Davis.

PPV sales can be manipulated and skewed. Flat-out lied about even. But bums on seats cannot be, unless that is you're handing out thousands of comp tickets like they do across the pond so often.

You can count the amount of comp tickets we hand out over here on one hand when our boys are regularly packing out stadiums not arenas.

When Usyk is selling out arenas and stadiums all across the world every bum on those seats is a genuine fan who paid for their ticket from their own pocket. The appearance of reality is often not reality.

Probably didn't help DAZN giving away multiple passes to the Canelo fight due to their incompetence with broadcasting the Tank vs Garcia fight
