Won every second of every round..........against a normally stand and deliver fighter who saw what was in front of him and decided to skate. Boots is still the future of the division and it's crazy how he's being stalled out.
People pooping on him because he got taken the distance in his last fight by an extremely elusive and tricky slickster who has some of the best feet and movement you'll see, is tough, had great stamina to keep moving like that all night, and who fought negatively for much of the fight. Would Terry, Errol and the rest of the top 147 pounders have stopped Karen? I don't think so. Maybe someone in the top 10 might due to styles but a negative slickster with footwork, speed, anticipation, stamina, toughness, and movement like that isn't easy to get out of there at all.
I think Ortiz would’ve gotten him out of there. I also think that he would’ve looked much more stable as well, not missing wide shots, crossing his feet, and doing 180s like Ennis was. He’s the real boogeyman at 147 if he can stay healthy at that weight.
I openly invite you to show me 1 sustained minute of that fight Boots lost.............. I'll wait......
Vergil Ortiz & Ennis need to fight each other Old school, can’t get the top guys? tthen fight each other. they are being protected / shielded (Vergil more then boots - nobody want smoke with boots yet - maybe Rocha?) Once Crawford vs Spence happens (which should be soon - hopefully- lol) I believe Spence will move up to 154lbs win or lose (rematch Crawford) & Crawford will likely fight Boots win or lose after the $pence pay day.
