    Fight week. :ibutt

Gun to my head - no idea on whom the judges' favor will get bestowed on the night, but if you asked me to put money on anything it'd be the Over. :deal:

(not to say that stoppages are completely impossible here, but they're definitely not coming in the 1st half either way - and probably not in the first ¾ either)

-460 this fight goes the distance. I like those odds.

I just found a moneyline of -725 for Over 10.5 rounds and +425 on the Under.

I'll be taking the -460 line. I think there is a greater than 82% chance this fight goes the distance. Only way I see this ending in a stoppage is if Loma gets old overnight or Loma navigates Haney's jab and reach with absurd ease. Meh, unlikely to happen.

You always have to factor in an extra 5-10% chance for things like fluky cuts (that aren't from - or aren't ruled from - butts) or horrible quick referee stoppages where a guy isn't even in trouble (as we may be only a couple of days removed from an example of :sisi1)

You should be paying attention to who the referee is going to be and what time they are going to weigh in.

I voted for a draw. I can't really make my mind up on who to pick its 50/50 for me. My boxing mind says Haney but I would like Loma to pull it off. Both fighters have extreme skill, but speed kills and Haney has alot of it. Never count Loma out, if he is going to win, he needs to find a way around the jab and make it a dog fight and bang the body. not too many people go after Haney's body because of the very fast return fire but if he can work the body, he will have a good chance.

I don't think those are good odds. Loma has at least a 30% chance of stopping Haney, who is most likely packing glass.

Loma at +200 is the best bet IMO. Haney is getting overvauled, this really is a 50/50 type of fight.

Loma has 3 stoppages at 135. The first was Linares, who had one of the glassiest jaws in modern boxing history. Second was Anthony Crolla, a domestic level tomato can. Third was Nakatani, a fringe top 10 guy and his most impressive stoppage. Nothing on his record would suggest that he is going to stop Haney, but you may be right. Take Loma then.

The only certainty about this fight is that if Loma wins then he will be called the greatest fighter of his era (laughable, it's Uysk by a comfortable distance) by a huge portion of this forum. He has the most annoying and presumptuous fans on the site. And if Haney wins it will because he's a Welterweight who picked on a smaller shot man. You know it and I know it.

I cannot remember the last time we had a division filled with so much talent that featured so many douche-nozzles. Everybody sucks at 135. Everyone in the division is somebody I actively root against. Kambosas, Haney, Garcia, Davis, Lopez, Loma. I suppose Cruz is ok and has the most pleasant personality, but other than that, yea, giant douchebag festival at the top of the division.

That same Linares nearly knocked Haney the F out. Also, Loma is by far his toughest opponent to date.

Yes, I could be wrong and Loma doesn't have the power to stop him. Still, are you saying Haney beats Loma 2/3rds of the time? I really don't see it. I think this is a coin-flip fight, MAYBE you favor Haney 55/45. Still, that is nowhere near +200. Maybe Loma being robbed is being baked into the line.
