Early Bruno has the power to spark him out .the later it lasts Vlad takes it . Dangerous fight for a young Vlad one mistake and he is toast

Nope.Bruno has to have the bout take place in his backyard. Anywhere else==with frank being the road warrior?

Bruno too mechanical and I sure do not see him coping with a guy fighting tall and the reach advantage being a good thing for his defense. And once hurt, we know how this plays out. Guys with the over developed shoulder muscles get tagged clean once the fatigue sets in and they drop those hands.

tko Wlad 4 to 7 rounds.

A prime Klitschko dominates him behind his jab before stopping him in the mid-late rounds. Bruno was a good fighter but Wlad was a level above him.

A man with Frank’s power always has a puncher’s chance. Should he be favored ? I don’t think so

I think this probably follows the pattern with all of Bruno’s losing efforts, he has success early on but fades and is stopped after half way.
The thing is Bruno hurt all of those guys who defeated him and I would suggest they had better chins than Wlad so there is a chance if Frank hurts Wlad he might finish him off I doubt it though, Wlad KO’s him some time after half way.

Since Wlad "caught a rhythm" after Chris Bird, there is little chance that any boxer shorter than him would have much of a chance against him.

I'd be in the "he has a chance but not a very good one" camp. Bruno's best weapon is his jab backed up with his huge strength. Unfortunately Wlad has a better, longer jab and he's significantly bigger and taller. I think the best version of Klitschko wipes him out almost every time, with Frank reduced to trying to lunge in to make something happen kind of like Kubrat Pulev. Younger Wlad Klitschko was not so defensive, and if Bruno has a chance to land his big bombs, he has a chance of hurting Wlad. I think a tear up with young Klitschko would be hell of fun and that Bruno would have some chances, even though I'd still favour Wlad.

The thing is yes Bruno had power but he never really stopped an elite fighter outside of Gerrie Coetzee who was past his prime at that point.

Could Bruno catch Wladimir and hurt him ? Yes. But he could he go on to finish him ? Probably not.

Wladimir by TKO in 8th round.

Everyone is entitled to the odd bad night. :)

The point is, Eklund was a 6' 6" 240lbs+ Euro style fighter whom Bruno could reach with the jab, because Bruno himself had quite a wingspan and was predisposed to fully extending that jab.

We saw how well Bruno was jabbing with Lewis as well.

Wlad didn't exactly have an elite level chin, though.

Yes but he showed more survival instincts than Bruno did though, he survived 3 knockdowns vs Samuel Peter in a tough fight. And survived a heavy 5th round knockdown against a big punching Joshua who is a better than Bruno, and went on to give Joshua a hell of a fight for 11 rounds at the age of 40. And Bruno wouldn't of survived that 6th round vs Wladimir either like Joshua did.

The only time i remember Bruno coming back from when he was hurt was vs Jumbo Cummings, and he was very fortunate that the punch landed right on the bell.

I know mate, I got the reference, I just couldn't resist a "Quarless" jibe- he was always me and my brother's go to "if you can't beat...." fighter. We know some of his family, he was a tough lad in fairness.
