I think Haney will have learned from the Lopez and Ortiz fights. Specifically, he'll be looking to use his lead arm as a stick to keep Lomachenko at bay when he tries to take the outside angle; he'll be waiting for the right uppercut and left hook to the body when Loma rushes in; and he'll step to the left as he jabs to take away Loma's favourite counter, where he steps around the opponent's lead foot with a straight left or right hook.

The question is whether Haney can stick to his game plan all night - remember how difficult Lopez found it once Loma really stepped on the gas - and whether Lomachenko has added any wrinkles to his game since that last defeat. Not to mention the effect Haney's brutal weight cut might have on his stamina and resistance to body shots.

Now is when I'm most frantic about being banished, from a forum, on the Internet.
Read on and you will see why
Sir, "May I Ask why you're so judgemental of others , in a sport you have never actually participated , IN!!!!!!!!!!!.........wait ......!!!!!!!!!!!
This is not to insult you. Since ur a staff member, " I think it's a fair question even If it did not end with a question mark.

Listen son, I've had enough of this " Cat and mouse game.: We can go back and forth until the sun , either sets, or rises, in Alaska. Much like here, make ur pick now. Since we're basically calling the outcome of this fight. Yes?
Not only do I want to see it' So too' do others who have followed this thread and witnessed your behavior, as a staff member.
Which , of course, I've had 0 problems with, to this point. I thought I'd be gone long ago, for simply giving a different perspective, Your Highness.
So here is where we are. Make your call Now. Who wins it and how? Make your call at the end of this thread, and how you see this fight going.
Oh, I know..................you did that already. Lets do it again.
I wanna make a little dig here. You're about to get sonned as a fight caller. And it aint just, Me, doing it.
Like I said , oh wise one. Lets meet up here, on , " boxing forums" after the decision. There are two outcomes. You eat crow and like it. Or I do.
We can make a good time out of this thread until this dude banishes me.
Oh wait! Did I miss something? Make ur call.
I don't have to live with myself if I'm wrong. But you, my good man, Do. Why, you may ask? Because ur a staff member making calls, recorded in the anal's of this forum, potentially, forever. I want to see your call, now , your updated call. Don't be afraid. It's just the Internet.

Clearly you're emotionally unhinged, so I'm extricating myself from this conversation. I couldn't care less about who you think wins. I just thought your take was a bit on the ridiculous side and I said so. Loma isn't too small, I agree the fight won't be close, Loma will win easily, it won't look a thing like Haney-Kambosos, Haney won't be the one frustrating Loma, certainly not enough for him to quit. Again, the opposite will occur. Then I said, even if you end up being right, and Haney gets the win somehow, your assessment will be wrong. As in Haney will either get a gift, or eke out a very close points win. Which means, it won't be a landslide or a no mas. What's hard to understand about that?

I'm not being judgemental of others, I'm being truthful, the vast majority of boxers and trainers suck and aren't very good at reading fights. Otherwise they'd come up with better gameplans and have winning records. Are you going to argue guys with 2-89-3 records are good boxers? Of course you aren't. Would you trust their take? Or would you trust Bernstein, Lampley and Farhood's takes, none of whom have boxed a day in their lives.

I haven't banned you, because I'm not a fascist, and don't hand out arbitrary bans to people who disagree with me. You've done nothing to violate the rules, therefore you don't deserve a ban. Now get over it, I thought your take was bat**** insane, and I'm sticking to my Loma by late TKO victory prediction. If you're right... I don't care. If I'm right, good for me. I don't take these things as seriously as a heart attack, clearly you do. Now chill the **** out.

Rigondeaux has better boxing skill than Haney and Loma made him look like a novice. Haney cant rely on any boxing skill to win this fight, he needs to show some metal. Loma is a better boxer full stop. The only thing Loma has to overcome is the size and jab, the size wont matter that much Loma’s been fighting bigger guys already. He will overcome the jab because Haney throws nothing behind it and never doubles up on his jab either. Haney also has zero power, he makes Malignaggi look like Julian Jackson. Loma will maul him, Bill’s going to be in the corner on the phone to his momma crying while Haney gets slapped around the ring

Loma has a big, very big, tree to chop down and he will need to start chopping first to last rounds.

Haney will have a little ninja bug flying around him all night. Bzzzzzzzzz Bzzzzzzzz. Can he catch the little bug and hold it down until the final bell?

Loma has amazing footwork and unique angles but still his head stays stationary.

DH has size and youth but has never faced an elite boxing master like Loma.

Im calling for a MD or SD for the Giant DH.

Again may the best man win with a clean finish.

This one is legitimately a 50/50 fight. Haney has youth on his side, along with speed, size, range & slickness. However, he lacks the inside game to rough up Loma, and the power to hurt him significantly. Loma is older, on the decline, & is giving up significant amount of size & reach - but he's still very sharp, has excellent footwork & feints, solid volume punching, angles & underrated power (more than Haney) A true 50/50 fight. Can't pick a winner.

At what point does cutting so much weight become a disadvantage rather than an advantage?
