Boxers whose punches are so slow you could travel to Uranus when they started to throw it and by the time you got back it still would not have connected, examples?
I think someone here related Holyfield as describing that to be the literal case vs Foreman. George would launch, Holyfield would duck or what not to evade, but when his head came back up, Foreman’s punch was only just arriving to hit Evander anyway. Lol. Can I choose another planet to travel to in the interim….like Jupiter? That other planet is the a** end of the Universe, or at least our Galaxy…I’d rather not go there.
I always thought Liston wasn’t as slow as what people thought. I don’t think he should be anywhere near this list.
I agree. When I see comments like the one you were replying to or others like "he was slow as molasses" or "a slow slow man". It makes me question whether these guys have actually seen him fight.
At the least, the speed of the older Liston shouldn’t be confused with that of prime Liston. For one example, this is not a slow fighter. Looks quite fast, actually. This content is protected
S Totally disagree.Sonny Liston shouldn't be in this conversation.Obviously Liston wasn't a Michael Dokes where speed was concerned but to put him in this thread is way out of line
Start the clip one minute in- Liston is slow and it’s not a big deal fellas or “out of line” lol. This content is protected
