thought experiment: if Loma had been the awarded 115-113 x2 and 116-112, how many people would be calling it a robbery? the same number, if it was a truly each-way fight
People see what they want to see that’s why every fight is a “robbery” on this forum. Loma wasn’t ahead at any point in that fight. You knew this was gonna go off the rails when you had people score the first two rounds for Loma…they were emotionally invested and had their cards filled out. Ironically the very thing they accuse the judges of. They just keep proving Roger Mayweather right…over and over and over.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say robbed. But the peoples champ Haney is not. i had Loma winning Should have stepped on the gas in round 12 But I’m sure the old man was tired - had he won the 12th convincingly then a case can be made for robbery.
Shakur Stevenson, Terence Crawford, Regis Prograis, Richardson Hitchins, Keyshawn Davis, Paulie Malignaggi, Jeff Mayweather, Jorge Linares, Jamal Herring, Fernando Vargas, David Haye, Teddy Atlas, all scored the fight to Lomachenko, do they not know boxing?
He landed slightly less punches and threw less punches so not sure how he was more active technically
Old Bob sitting down at the post fight press conference looking like he waiting on the looney wagon to come pick him up.
Welcome to my ignore list. It’s amazing the stupid crap that comes out of peoples mouths on this forum. Loma landed more punches and threw more punches. And you’re saying he didn’t do anything.
Loma outworked Haney in all of those rounds, according to punch stats. So again, it´s not like Loma didn´t put in the work. Haney just landed the cleaner shots and was more accurate.
You don’t get points for accuracy in boxing, so I hate when people mention that. Funny, you talk about clean shots, I felt like in the last four or five rounds of the fight that was all Loma was doing compared to Haney.
His problem was you got to be more active in a close fight. You cant leave it to the judges. You gotta be more aggressive. I know its easier said then done. But that's what great fighters do, they close the show. He did not even try to be more aggressive in the 12th. If he did he would have at least had a draw.
