Oh god it's back

 

She lost to a police woman who boxes in her spare time and can't throw a jab or set her feet properly. She was also never going to fight at Croke Park in front of 100,000 people or whatever it was, that was just more spin from Hearn to make her out to be something she's not. She's simply nowhere near that level of stardom, not even in Ireland.

 

I was busy with work last night but now I have seen most of the card on the Sky box and what surprised me the most was that Katie Taylor seemed completely dead in the eyes. She was mentally absent. Had a flashback to Wladimir Klitschko when he had to face Russ Puritty on home turf a few years ago. He did a lot of pr work leading up to the event which made him totally exhausted on the evening of the fight. Did Katie Taylor put in too much pr work to sell this home coming fight ?

 

It's appalling. What kind of fight was the judges watching ?

Apart from a few moments, Katie Taylor was not in the fight at all.

 

Think Taylor is getting a rough ride on here.

Olympic gold. Undisputed lightweight champion. 2 weight world champion. Controversial fight with Persoon, gives the rematch. Close fight with Serrano, gives the rematch. Serrano is injured for the rematch so instead of a knock over jumps up in weight at the age of 36 to fight the undisputed champion from the division above.

She’s had a long amateur career, a tireless pursuit at making female boxing legal in Ireland, fought at 2 Olympics then has been active in the pros. Age caught up with her last night and she lost to the bigger and better fighter on the night and now she’s suddenly a hype job.

 

Quite possibly, she seemed tired and not at the races for the first few rounds.

The ring walk didn’t do her any favours either. Went on far too long.

 

She landed some good combinations, but Cameron was superior the whole fight. Should have been unanimous.

 

Who is saying she’s a hype job, that is very unfair? Agree with your post, she’s had a great career and been a trailblazer for women’s boxing. The whole of Ireland love her, her support is fantastic. Just time to hang them up, but she’s been great.

I’m sure she appreciates your concern, but I have no doubt she’d rather have the rematch at Croke Park and earn multiples of what she’d get fighting in an arena in England.

 

This she’s 36 years old with miles on the clock and has achieved more than ever female boxer in history.
