Why has Loma and Haney, both, defeated better competition than Spence and Crawford?

An argument could be made that both Haney and Loma have defeated much better competition than Crawford and Spence, yet Crawford and Spence are much more respected and hyped than the latter two. I'm just wondering, both Crawford and Spence have had plenty of opportunities to beef up their resumes. Why have they been so risk-averse compared to Haney and Loma?

Gamboa of the Crawford fight or Mikey Garcia of the Spence fight beat Haney and Loma pretty handily.

You can make a case for Mikey but not Gamboia.

I don't know. You'd be surprised how many bad cases I've made on this forum over the years.
