Haney is 24 and ascending. Loma is 35 and on his way out. There is no future for Loma.

Haney was supposed to execute him, and came closer than Loma did to getting executed (rd 11).

Most thought Loma win...more home cooking.

Can you imagine what would have happened to Devin if he'd got his wish four years ago?

Same would have happened to Tank then, but Floyd wisely kept his Tank's ass well away from Loma.

At this point, it would be a fifty fifty, and if you factor in US "judging" then Tank would be the heavy favourite.

Olu, FFS man, wake up, man.

Who has which contract has nothing to do with it.

Which of Loma or an undefeated Haney with a Loma scalp, will make more money for the promoters in the years ahead ?

Top Rank (Bob Arum) had Pac under contract, but his $$$ days seemed to be ending, so Bob sacrificed him to Jeff Horn , another bogus decision.

( Arum actually messed up there as Pac had a bit more life left in him, and Horn was nowhere near as good as some thought).

This stuff has been going on since I started following the sport.

First time I saw it as when nearing-the-end Henry Cooper beat young Joe Bugner for the British and Commonwealth titles.

But, according to the official records, of course that never happened.

Guaranteed if Loma fights Tank now he Loma won’t see the end of the fight. Floyd did not make the fight the. Because Tank was a kid the youngest world champion and he was in no rush wanted him to get the necessary experience. If the fight Loma gets executed. Remember I said it. My point about not taking Haney 4 years ago is Loma nd his team were stupid. It was a mistake.

    When you're a world champion, you can't ( or a least shouldn't) hide behind being a kid.

Especially as three years ago, Tank was 25, had had 20 pro fights, and had wins over two future HoF ers.

That excuse doesn't hold any water.

You can call it ducking, or being protected.

As Floyd knew, he would have been embarrassed in the ring with Loma.

I have already stated that a this point, Loma being well past prime, Tank would be the favourite.

Four years ago, Haney was a nobody.

You can't select green opponents based on what they might become some day in the future.

 Didn't make the fight because...being a kid??? That's freakin stupid. Here's the thing. You don't get to have a world title and still use that excuse to duck.

Tank would stop loma. Look how dented up lomas face was from haney who has no power. Look how easy he is to hit the body, tank lands that left to the body on loma its game over

Loma should rematch Haney but throw a 10 lb rehydration clause on him then have the weigh in moved closer to fight time.

Loma still has a few years left, his dominant great performance whooping Haney this weekend proved that.

But yeah long term, Haney is the more marketable guy, a decade younger, american. Top Rank can make a lot more money off him long term, so that's why the snake Bob Arum gave him the decision.

So? Nothing is as popular as association football. Your argument was "boxing is not popular in Europe outside of the UK".

There's a huge jump between "not popular" and "not as popular as association football". If something is not at popular as association football, it is still popular - just not the most popular. Tennis, Formula 1, MotoGP, golf or basketball are all very popular sports - just not as popular as association football (as, once again, nothing is). Boxing is right in that group.

You are just making excuses because you know Tank will murder Loma.

He became mandatory contender and they ducked him with WBC Franchise belt BS. It was a silly decision because Haney more difficult to beat.
