This is a reminder that fighters do not hold the belts, but network companies do. The reason we won’t see Beterbiev vs Bivol is simply politics. Beterbiev is with TR and Bivol fights on DAZN, neither will let their fighters lose this one. They’ve gone years making money and fights by holding on to the belts.

Same reason why I’m so pissed Romero got the 140 WBA belt. It now belongs to PBC, which means that belt is now hostage and no none PBC fighters can get it

I just remember smith in the super 6 taking a lot of unnecessary shots against the likes of holzken and skoglund, if he takes those from Beterbiev he’ll get parked up.

True, but to his point, Smith doesn't hold any belts. Bivol losing would lose Matchroom the WBA title. They don't face the same risk with Smith. Either he wins, in which case he brings three more belts to them (and at which point I'm sure they'd waste no time making undisputed), or he loses, which is just part of the business.

 

Still remember that scary KO that Smith did to Castillo. Hopefully nothing like this happens.

Easy KO win for Beterbiev.

In his last fight, Smith was tagged often by Bauderlique. He is easy to hit in the face. Beterbiev knocks him out in round 9.

 

Brits saying that even Yarde is better than Callum, who knows.
