This is their last chance to make this still somewhat of a legit matchup.

 

This is at least the 20th time it has been announced. It's now or never or both will be irrelevant without the other.

They’ve cried wolf a few times already. In the words of every boxing fan:

“I won’t believe it until I see them in the ring”

 

Like I said before I won't believe it until I see the first press conference.

 

I doubt it.

 

I had actually given up on it being soon since we hadn't heard anything about it in awhile, and in that video where Crawford is saying he didn't know how Haney won, someone brings up the 22nd of July and he just says "What's on the 22nd?" with a genuine look of confusion on his face. I took that to mean negotiations had fallen through or were BS to begin with, but thankfully it seems like I was wrong about that. Hopefully it can be signed and we get an official announcement sometime within the next week or so.
