I think this would have been an exciting matchup of similar sized southpaw sluggers. Both were skilled technicians who were not afraid to mix it up when necessary. I think this would be an exciting tactical battle with small bursts of brawling scattered throughout the fight. Who takes this one prime for prime?
It didn't take a whole lot on the elite level. Frankly, I feel that Sultan had better instincts and equal skills.
I'm a fan of MM's but I think Sultan is a bad matchup for him. Moorer was a better puncher but he had a tendency to be lazy at times and he did struggle with guys that could move. Sultan had a short career and it was at a time when the heavyweight division was in the shitter but he had an outstanding amateur career and was a very smart fighter that knew how to win. I think he wins by UD.
