Where would Wilder rank amongst Anthony Joshua's best wins

Do you guys honestly believe this? Ahead of Klitchsko?

 

That's because he hadn't fought since the Fury loss...he went straight onto another big fight. Could've easily beaten a few bums on the way (wouldn't have made it any more of an achievement on AJ's part). You could also say Wlad only lost once in 13 years. Had Wilder not KO'd Helenius and fought AJ off the back of the 2 Fury losses, would you be saying the same about Wilder not having won a fight in 3 years?

 

2nd. But I don't think he would have beaten Wilder at any point in time.

 

Wladimir is a bigger name and obviously way more accomplished but timing is everything. Wladimir was done at that point and was coming off a loss and a huge lay off while being 40 years old.

Wilder is pretty much still in his prime and i don't think many people would favour Joshua over Wilder atm, so if Joshua were to beat a monster puncher like Wilder especially at this stage in his career it would be best achievement of his career IMO.

 

Top 3 alongside Wlad and Povetkin, Joshua on the other hand would be Wilder's best win by miles.

1) Klitschko
2) Povetkin
3) Ruiz / Parker / Wilder / Whyte , all about the sane level, dificult to rank

2nd. Parker was by far his best win.

Wlad really wasn't a good win, a 2+ year retired champion coming off of a loss where they were dominated is not that great of a win. Povetkin was shopworn. Ruiz was someone he should've beaten easily, the only appeal was because he lost the first fight.

 

Wilder is past his best too

 

It's easier to look at AJs resume and assume who'd Wilder would spark out.
Doing so puts Wilder at minimum no 2, maybe even AJs best win at this point in both guys career.

The Klit that AJ struggled with would struggle with Wilder too, difficult to say who'd come out on top of that one. Klit would win all the rounds but wouldn't get up if the bomb detonated IMO.

 

A bit hard to tell because AJ was close to losing against Wlad, but Wlad was a bit old already, even well-preserved. Povetkin, on the other hand, was visibly in some early stage of decline and even if he wasn't I see him losing to Wilder (who however ran away full speed from facing him). But both were top-level fighters, so I'd say Wilder would be his 3rd best victory if the fight is now. If at some later stage where Wilder has finally faced few top opponents and has won against, could go to 2nd, but that seems unlikely.

 

Wilder beating wlad is the biggest load of nonsense I've seen all day. Here's the question... why didn't he fight him then lol
