Oh one of those, where afterwards the ref realises a second after he's stopped it, it may have been too early..... so he grabs the boxer and hugs him, rag dolling him to sell that he's wobbly as ****?

Get ready for Browne Parker I guess.

They should bring in Mikailovich for Nikita. Battle of the Russians. Battle of the Anzacs.

Imagine being in attendance and waiting hours for that...
I am fuming enough for staying up this late (midnight here) and have work at 7:00
    :hang

I blame it on the big dosser being ringside. **** you Fury.

It's really ruining the sport. I hate the argument of oh well he would have lost anyway. With that mentality why even get in the ring to take punches, that's the sport. Give the guy a chance.

Should of at least given him a count. Though I guess falling face first back turned was enough for this ref.

Not quite a Calzaghe vs. Manfredo as Django was actually hurt but yeah, anyplace other than Down Under that's only a knockdown. An ellipsis of an ending there, not a period or exclamation mark.

Exactly, its the first knockdown. At least give him a count and then decide whether to wave it off.

Yeah I'm lucky my $20 bet paid for the PPV. $60 return, but if it went to 2nd would have been an extra $150.

No amount of hyperbolic commentary will ever displace Green vs. Briggs as peak Aussie boxing embarrassment.

...or Green's whole career, for that matter. Or his rival Choc Mundine's. Really with both those guys it was every few years the rest of the world going "oh right...they exist, I guess" while domestic fans were fed the line that in that era it went:

    1. Mayweather
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Mundine/Green

I think Opelu was all wobbly and off balance because the ref wouldn't stop feeling him up. He picked him up, jostled him around and pushed him into the corner.
