WTF? Is he not top 10 still? I'm pretty sure he is, there are not a lot of guys out of the top 15 that can beat him. Just because someone is not in title contention anymore doesn't mean "they're done, retire". That's insane. This man is a former belt holder, to suggest a former beltholder is finished is crazy considering there's still only a handful of guys that can beat him. His only losses were all to people in the top 10. He may not be on the shortlist for a title run but he ain't a journeyman either, I'd say at this point he's a "kingmaker".
He doesn't in my opinion if he was for real he should line Luis Ortiz,Chris Aerosol, Charles Martin, Jermain Franklin, Frank Sanchez, Jarrell big baby Miller, Jared Anderson and try to make name for himself to get a title shot.
Fourth Tier. 1st tier Usyk, Fury One of these guys is champ Second tier Joshua, Wilder, Zhang, Hrgovic After Fury and usyk settle it, there are the guys people want to see them fight Third Tier Joyce, Ruiz One removed from second tier...need another good win to be in the mix Fourth Tier Parker, Whyte, Bakole Standing above most others, but no one is clamoring for a big right. They got work to do, and need a series of credible wins.
Just saw this. I've always like Parker. Now he's a high end gatekeeper. He could surprise and rise up to fringe contender... or fade to journeyman just as fast.
A rematch with Whyte in London is probably the way to go, think his status as top contender has fizzled out.
Upper level gatekeeper to expose fake top 10 heavyweights. A man can always improve though and he might surprise and beat some decent fighters. Where he's at now, there's demand for that and he can still make a lot of good money. Prospects and future contenders need step ups. If that doesn't work, he could be the best pom-pom man in the game.
