Mauricio Lara Acosta vs. Leigh Wood II & Jack Catterall vs. Darragh Foley RBR.

Reminds me of the Xu Can fight, when Wood barely needed to get out of first gear to outbox a very lethargic opponent

 

I knew when Lara was friendly at the weigh in and was over 4lbs that he was overconfident and it's showing.

 

Oh well; the good news is that I like Wood too, so no matter who wins I do to.

 

Lara was like this in the first fight too. He got outboxed for most of the fight and his offense was one-dimensional until the KO.

 

Lara is so off the boil it's maddening, I'm suspecting it's to do with the weight cut he was forced to stop. He looks like a man with very little energy.

 

Lara been watching Deontay Wilder montages and listening to living on a prayer by Madonna to prepare for this fight

 

At this point Wood can prolly safely just shell up and survive to the end. It's been a shut out performance and he has a knockdown to his credit. Needs to be careful here.

 

Lara has been having a good look at Leigh all night. Not a lot else though.

 

I can't shake the bad feeling I've had about this. Wood doesn't really need to engage much now and he'll still win.

 

Hopefully Wood goes for the knockout as this has been pretty boring and 1 sided lol. Was expecting fireworks.

 

Lara fighting like Duran vs SRL II. Couple bolo punches from Wood and Lara goes No Mas.

 

Lara's warm up must of consisted of a few shots of tequila.

 

Wood 9-1
