Im British and Wood is either punch drunk or just has a shockingly difficult accent.

I think Nottingham might be inclined towards consanguinity. Make of that what you will.

Did land a couple of nice hooks at points in the 5th, 6th and 11th. First was close, so there's your four.

Granted, I only gave him two. Wood was still landing consistently with the jab and dropping in the right hand in the rounds where Lara was doing better.

Kudos the UK for a day of great boxing action. Too bad the matches overlapped.

I keep telling you guys that British fighters are the slickest and most skilful in the world but we hit so hard and our warrior spirit and desire to put on a show for the paying fans often gets the better of us and we subsequently abandon our skills and slickness in favour of going to war. What you just witnessed tonight was a Brit who won the battle with his inner Brit warrior.

Got to hand it to him; Leigh Wood broke the Mexican Curse; a British chin survived a clash with a Mexican warrior.

Also, I can't believe I for a moment forgot the golden rule of rematches; "He who can make the most adjustments wins the rematches."
