Artue Beterbiev vs 1983 Michael Spinks, 175 lbs, 15 rounds. The Spinks who unified the title by beating WBC Champion Dwight Muhammad Qwai vs current champion Beterbiev, does the Spinks Jinx end the evening for Artur? Does Beterbiev put Spinks out with his power?

Spinks by KO he hits far too hard and Beterbiev is far too hittable.

If Callum Johnson had Beterbiev down and on shaky legs Spinks would end him.

Another vote for Spinks. Likely by KO. And, it may not end up being particularly close if Artur goes the distance. And, this is coming from someone who is a big fan of Beterbiev.

Definitely a tougher fight for Beter than Norton. Spinks might slime his way to a dec.

One is an ATG and top 5 Light Heavyweight of all time with legit 1 punch KO power the other is a domestic level fighter. And when I mention domestic level I'm on about Johnson BTW not Beterbiev I wouldn't disrespect Beterbiev like that.

Beterbiev wouldn't be able to walkthrough Spinks's punches hes far too hittable for the likes of Spinks.

Even a tough nut like Qawi who's alot better than Beterbiev defensively, was caught with a right hand in the 1st round and instantly knew he couldn't walkthrough Spinks.

It’s reductionist. He’s gone down twice in the pros but beat the crap out of both of those guys and never got stopped in the ams that I know of. I could say something about the Tyson fight but won’t.

He was shook up pretty bad vs Johnson, he got up and was on wobbly legs. Hes also been easy to hit in other fights.

I realize with his style hes that he will be hit, but theres been other offensive fighters with better defense.

I just don't see Beterbiev with his style taking shots from a genuine 1 punch KO artist all night. I could see Beterbiev doing well early on as sometimes Spinks could be a slow starter, but I see Spinks deadly punches getting to him in the 2nd half of the fight.

As for Tyson well that was at Heavyweight, i don't really see that has any relevance to a fight at Light Heavyweight vs Beterbiev. Where Spinks was never legitimately dropped the KD vs Qawi was a slip. And I don't think Beterbiev would've been much of a challenge for a prime Mike Tyson either at Heavyweight.

    Spinks would eventually nail him.

Spinks would have jinxed him with a right hand.

I think the only guys who could beat him at 175 would move and make him reset constantly. A knockout would be surprising.

Fair enough I actually like Beterbiev alot its shame hes a bit long in the tooth, hopefully he gets the Bivol fight before he gets too old. I think the upcoming Smith might be a good little slugfest aswell while it lasts.
