Saw Oscar say that Spence is one dimensional. I understand that he isn't as versatile as Oscar or Crawford but do you think Spence is one dimensional ?

He can box if he needs to and he can fight in the trenches if he needs to. Hes not 1 dimensional at all. Oscars on the perrico again.

I get why some would say that, he does basically have one style of fighting but you could say that about a lot of great fighters.

He's nowhere near the master boxer some made him out to be early in his career when he was getting Mayweather comparisons. But he isn't some crude and unintelligent fighter either who relies on pure physicality or natural talent, there's some real intelligence to what he does. But it is limited to within his style.

Crawford in comparison is far more versatile which is why I favour him over Spence but it's not going to be an easy fight for Crawford because what Spence does he does very well.

Spence is one of those boxers that does not always show his full array.... Does what he needs to and gets it done and gets out.... Far from one dimensional

Agree with this that is why I am so intrigued with the Crawford fight as both guys know how to adapt and adjust.

he can do it all. a trainers dream. but what he does best is enough to beat anyone at 147. and if what he does best was not enough, he could change and do whatever would be.

I liked how Mikey Garcia thought he was a stiff brute and he proceeded to box Mikey’s ears off. Some didn’t like it because he didn’t KO him but to me it showed different layers to his game, he can be a brute force like vs Ugas, finesse like against Danny and Mikey or he can fight a physically grueling style like he did against Shawn Porter.

Both guys are great at adjusting I think Spence being southpaw is a huge advantage because it takes away Crawford’s advantage in switching to southpaw.

I been saying it years.. Erol is 1 dimensional, one trick pony, head down, hook happy, slow hands , slow feet, slow to cut off the ring .

All he has is a good engine , and good body shots .. Crawford is going to expose him...

All boxers are one dimensional in one way or another or you could argue as someone put it none of them are one dimensional, depending how you view it.

Both Errol & Crawford can adapt that's what is important. Spence is naturally tougher than Crawford though and Crawford has a little more finesse with his boxing. Spence's engine is a little better and against opponents who can't dictate a pace he will and he will set a high pace.

Most boxers will revert to a type or style when hurt or in the deep end. Tyson Fury for as good a boxer he is when times get tough he will become a titan and walk you down and kill you with his blubber and GOAT clinching, nobody can match Tyson Fury in a clinch present or historically. You want to stand at mid range and let bombs fly with Errol Spence you better be a killer or he'll wear you down, everyone is boxing circles knows Spence is a killer you have to box him off which is what Crawford will do.

Crawford's ability to quickly get off line, ability to turn southpaw and that slightly less shotworn body should allow him to win round 1,2 and maybe 3 off the jab before Spence has to adjust. If Spence wins these early rounds then Crawford is in a world of hurt unless Spence sticks it on him early and Crawford wants to be the matador for a bit.

A lot of the boxers who know both and spar both know how tough Spence is...probably got dogged by him which is why they pick him over Crawford every day but boxing is about skills. Both will look the same size on the night.

This is a fair and balanced take

Spence is an awful lot bigger than Crawford. How well he does the weight given the lay off will be a big factor.

I lean towards Spence personally. His size volume and bodywork will break Crawford down.
