Laughable mismatch, the difference in skill and technique is too vast to compare them.

That being said, Cribb in 1. Maybe 2 if he feels merciful

 

I have to give it to Cribb 100 percent, its in his backyard so to speak, rules and everything, he know what hairs to pull when the ref is not looking and when to do a bodyslam over the waist ete. Its almost other sport.

 

@mr. magoo saw Cribb fight live back when his eyesight was still good and yet you slight him like this? For shame.

Cribb is arguably the bare knuckle goat, his resume is certainly the best. I don’t think I’d favour any gloved heavyweight in a bare knuckle fight with him. Not even Sullivan

 

The man beat Belcher. That's good enough for me. I'll take Cribb but I am sure Spinks, coming from a hardscrabble background, would be a tough man to keep down.

 

Hen would argue he was the greatest of all time. He was the Rocky Marciano of his era.

 

Descriptively speaking Belcher seemed like he was the most talented, he was probably the most impressive bare knuckle fighter of all time.

I believe Cribb also used gloves his sparring and bag work, which was common practice after Broughton invented the gloves. Who knows, maybe Tom beats Leon in an actual match!

 

Put todays fighters into the 1950's and they'd be a big wake up call regarding how fights are handled. Certain fouls aren't considered fouls. A general roughhousing pervades. No looking to the ref for sympathy. Well you can take that prinicple and multiply by a thousands in a LPR fight.

Because this is Cribbs turf, he has to be favoured. One thing he knew was how important it was to protect his weapons. I suspect a lot of modern fighters would go for it, break something, and then get ground down.

It could indeed be Cribb KO1 because rounds lasted until someone hit the deck.

Still need to see that new Belcher flick.
