Sims says Benn is up infront of the beak end of June. Very fast turnaround for a UKAD case considering he only submitted his file in April. I would expect a judgement end of July/ mid August. I can't see anything other than a 2+ year ban. This case involving a boxer who never failed a UKAD test but took clomid as part of a doctors prescription ended up with a long bang. Same for Benn. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...cQFnoECAsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1OAqBVhqvbLsnqyM2Nq_qX
He has two years to get in the gym, spar loads of guys, get juiced off his nut and then come back when his body is ready to provide a negative sample so that he can call out Hector Camacho.
Their defence will be to point out loads of inconsistencies in the VADA testing process. They won't claim that Conor hasn't taken anything that would accidently contain clomiphene because then it'll open the can of worms of his diet being thoroughly checked and then they will rightly ask then if you had a supplement that was tainted, why didn't you go after the supplier then? His lawyer is an expert in this field. He'll know exactly the weaknesses of the drug testing processes. That's why Con Bent hired him. To use dirt and throw it on VADA.
That didn't wash with the basket case of an investigation by the WBC. It certainly won't cut the mustard with thr NADP either (members in the link below) Only way he gets off is via a jurisdictional loophole with it being a VADA test, but the more cases I read the more I feel confident he is getting a 2 as a minimum.
Oh well. Even if he does come back he's tarnished forever. Anyone with half a brain knows he's a cheat and his viewing figures will take a hit.
Unfortunately, I think there will be a lot of interest and it will get massive media coverage the day Conor Benn makes a comeback. As I have previously written, I would like to encourage everyone to boycott all future boxing events where Conor Benn is involved.
I've watched three Benn fights ever. His debut, the one he should have lost in the early days, and Algieri because there was sod all else to do at the time. No chance I'll be watching his comeback.
Plenty of boxers have had their chance to make a living cut short from how dangerous the sport is. This scumbag doesn't deserve the opportunity to make a living through boxing after he tried cheating. Ask Nick Blackwell, Michael Watson, Eduard Gutknecht etc how much they'd have loved to have carried on making a living from the sport they loved.
Also - not sure what business it is of the WBC if Benn wants to fight Eubank. Unless they're putting up a "most hated" belt for the match.
