Are you worried about judging for the Josh Taylor - Teofimo Lopez fight?

Other than Catterall there has been no dodgy decision in favour of Josh Taylor. Prograis fight was very close, but Taylor was the deserved victor - never been any dispute of that, even from Regis. Postal was also a close win, but a clear win nonetheless. Every other Taylor fight has been won handsomely.

Don't let one bad performance tarnish your opinion of a fighter. Its like when Haye's disappointing performance against WK negated all his top class achievements prior to that. Dont be a fickle fight fan like that, then moan about no-one wanting to take tough fights. You become part of the problem with this chat mate.

I didn't say dodgy though did I? I said he's been on the right end (of close fights), he COULD'VE easily not been given the decision against Regis, but he was....whether it was right or wrong in most people's mind wasn't the point I was making.

The OP was questioning if JT would get a contentious decision in a close fight against Teo.....All I've said in other words was there's been nothing so far to suggest that will be the case.

Don't particularly like the guy but I'm not disillusioned over what a great fighter he is.

It is a real shame and it’s not right. I was going to go to the fight for a very quick trip as I had bought into the hype when I was in Vegas earlier this month speaking with some boxers and being a big Loma fan, but had a funny feeling he might get robbed if it went to the cards. Glad I didn’t go now :)

After what happened to Catterall it would be very funny to see Taylor get robbed.

Especially if Teo just quoted verbatim some of the nonsense Taylor came out with post robbery.

We need to see the joker system introduced into boxing post haste...

Taylor needs either a KO, or to win 9 rounds to get the decision.

Win 8 rounds and he might get a draw.

    6 or 7 and it's a loss.

    Buzzing for this now.

So many variables - was the Catterall performance just a blip, can Taylor make the weight better, has his injury healed properly, can Lopez pull something out of the bag after his last few performances, is Lopez’s head right, will someone chin the other at the weigh in and get the whole thing called off etc.

I think we’re going to see a spiteful, focused Taylor and he’s going to knock Lopez down several times en route to a points decision.

I used to think Taylor was a Wally but watched a programme documentary following him, he seems a really down to earth fella. Not made the mistake of buying a mansion either..

Can come across a bit aggressive at times but what you see is what you get. Doesn’t put an act on. Down to earth as you say.

I almost agree with you. Believe in a points win for Taylor (without knockdowns along the way).

It's a shame the tickets haven't sold well for this. Munguia Dervyachenko on DAZN on the same night has sold a lot more tickets, and Berlanga has sold out the same venue for June 24. Hopefully Taylor wins and can build-up some momentum with his career. I don't see him getting robbed. Lopez is unhappy with Top Rank and Bob Arum and will likely leave after fighting Taylor. I think the odds for Taylor to win via points provides great value.

Don't think it will go to points. Teo is going to knock Taylor out.

Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.

“How can I talk about this fight whilst praising DAZN and/or Matchroom who have absolutely nothing to do with the fight”

Edit - knew you’d be talking bollocks but thought I’d check anyway and Berlanga v Quigley hasn’t sold out at all. Literally on sale on the MSG website
