He was 6'2 208 pounds when he beat George Foreman and KO'd Douglas. Would poor Evander be too small amongst today's behemoths? Would putting Holyfield in the ring with Fury be like putting a down syndrome kid in the ring with a football jock?

I’d have hesitations about him beating Fury. But I DO think he could have been a belt holder yes. A 30 something year old former cruiser managed to get his hands on a few of them in this era

Poor Evander Holyfield, he had a sour puss look on his face but he could not punch, he was a true Cruiserweight, he knocked out Douglas who did not train and outmuscled a past it Mike Tyson, who lost his fighting prime at age 23 in 1990. Holyfield could not knockout an ancient baldheaded George Foreman. Tyson had to resort to munching on Holyfield's ear after being headbutted by the sour looking Holyfield.

I am super-critical of all cheatin' & PED usage, but Holyfield while no Foreman did not have a powder punch.
If you say that you gotta indict Ali & a gazillion boxer-types.

Although he did need great training & drugs to outmuscle Tyson, who had certainly lost no strength then.
Nobody came close to KOing George even as he approached 40, so I do not think that hurts him.

Tyson absolutely did not & should not have resorted to muching-actually once chewing off PART of his ear.
    Not that this exoverate Holyfield...

If Usyk hadn't appeared, everyone would have said: "It can't be done, this is the era of modern super heavyweights".
However, many would give chances to Riddick Bowe to become champions even today, the boxer whom Evander defeated.

First things first. Is he allowed to headbutt? He could open up some nasty gashes which might allow him to win on cuts or at least buckle the knees of his opponent with a flush headbutt. But no, if he was all natural he would have never been a heavyweight. And nothing to write home about.

Don't forget blood doping, he wouldn't win without that. And if it's any consolation to his fans, Holyfield has done some incredible things in the ring with the PEDs.

He'd beat Joshua, Ruiz, Whyte, probably Wilder but that could be a problem . Fury at his best probably beats him

The biggest obstacles would be Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Usyk. But to answer the question yes he could definitely win a title now, although just like his actual reign in early 90s. He wouldn't be dominant and he'd win some and lose some against the very best.

Fury also used PEDs don't forget that, and you'd also have to be naive to think someone like Joshua isn't on something either.

No I agree I bet Joshua is taking something, and I did not know fury had. Hardly an inspiring physique with his knock knees and gangly arms and absolutely zero definition body

Evander Holyfield would have busted Fury up .. he'd walk through Fury's power and beat him down .. not only too fast but I'd say stronger as well .. I've enjoyed Fury's heart and humor and gutsy performances but pretty much all he''s fought is Deontay Wilder ...
